My name is Lucas, and I'm the person (along with my life and adventure partner) behind Tu Mundo Mapas. We're not a large company, nor a workshop with employees on a regular basis. This is a handcrafted project, born from the heart and built with our hands, step by step.
I've always loved wood. That blend of rusticity and nobility. The smell, the feel, the sound of sanding it. But beyond the material, I've always had a need: to create something of my own, something with soul .
I'm an engineer, yes, but I'm also passionate about building with my hands. For years I worked on other things, until, in the midst of an inner search, my partner and I began to imagine the possibility of doing something different. Something that didn't exist as such, something with emotional value. That's how Tu Mundo Mapas was born.
The first piece we made was for Pablo, a friend. We made it with great enthusiasm. And then the magic happened: friends of friends started asking. Can we make a map like this of another country? And a medal holder? And a coat of arms to give as a gift? And without realizing it, what had started as a game transformed into a dream that became more and more real.
Today, every map that leaves our small home workshop is cut, sanded, painted, inspected, and packaged by myself. Each one tells a story. Every piece we make takes time, details, and emotion. Because we don't want it to be just decoration: we want it to be something that connects you with what you love most.
Your World Maps is just that: a map, a medal, or a shield... but also a little piece of home, memory, or pride that you hang on your wall.
